During the registration process the SMS® Website will alert you if you are outside of our service area prior to completing the process. You can also reach your SMS® Location to learn more about the specific areas we service.
The annual membership fee is $50. Your card on file is charged annually on the same date each year - your renewal date, typically the original date you became a member or renewed your membership. SMS® Members agree to have their card on file charged via the SMS® Legal Terms upon registration.

All SMS® Members receive a 30 day reminder email just in case they do not need to renew their membership. You can cancel your membership at any time directly from your SMS® Account.
All SMS® Members can login at any time to cancel or renew their membership at their discretion. All members also receive a 30 day reminder just in case they do not need to renew their membership and do not want SMS® to charge their card on file. Once the card on file is charged, the membership fee is non-refundable. Members will not receive a membership refund for any reason.
All active and paid member accounts are transferable. Contact your SMS® Location for assistance.
SMS® is locally owned and operated! We receive your SMS® Sitter requests and are the reason you receive a confirmation with a local, safe and reliable SMS® sitter!

SMS® charges normal, last minute, rush and holiday scheduling fees. Once SMS® has confirmed your request online, the scheduling fee is non-refundable. Members will not receive a scheduling fee refund for any reason.

Should a member no longer need said request, cancel fees may apply. Don't forget to include the sitter hourly rates.
SMS® charges a scheduling fee for each sit date requested online. If four dates are requested online in the same checkout, and all dates are within the same 30 days, the least of the four scheduling fees is waived during the checkout process. This is referred to as the SMS® Special.
Scheduling fees are non-refundable once confirmed. Members cancel requests through their online account. Cancel fees may apply. See your location's rates for all cancel fees.

**Members will not receive scheduling fee refunds or be omitted from paying cancel fees for any reason. All SMS® Members adhere to these policies in all locations and agreed to these terms upon registration. Members who cannot abide by these policies will be terminated immediately and fees will not be refunded.
Scheduling fees are non-refundable once confirmed. Members are required to cancel the date they no longer need and schedule the new date they are in need of.

The SMS® Office completed the work on the request, therefore the scheduling fee is not refunded. Cancel fees may apply should the member cancel within 48 hrs.

**If the SMS® Sitter shows up and is not needed, the full amount is owed. If the member does not compensate the sitter before they are sent home, the SMS® Office will be required to charge the card on file plus the $5 sitter compensation fee.
The SMS® Model allows members to make a first choice based on possible availability. Once members submit their request and make payment online, SMS® confirms members with their first choice OR the next available sitter.

Members are never guaranteed that their first choice is available to confirm. If a member no longer wants the appointment with the confirmed sitter, they must cancel online. SMS® Scheduling fees are non-refundable and cancel fees may apply.
You can add any SMS® Sitter as a favorite from your account page. The SMS® Office is always available to double-check any date and specific sitter request you have. Members submit these requests online with a "placeholder" account and pay the SMS® Scheduling Fees before we can get started. Should the specific sitter not be available, SMS® will confirm the next available sitter. Members who no longer want the appointment with the confirmed sitter must cancel online. SMS® Scheduling Fees are non-refundable and cancel fees may apply.

Members who contact SMS® Sitters for dates they are in need of or want to double-check outside of the SMS® System or Office are in breach of the SMS® Legal Terms and will be terminated immediately.
SMS® offers the option to all members via the "Time Change Request" feature. Members can request a new time with the confirmed sitter by clicking the time change request button located under sit details. Once submitted online, the SMS® Sitter is alerted for the new time requested. Members receive a confirmation when the sitter can accommodate the new time OR a decline if the sitter cannot confirm the new time.

Members who receive a decline can choose to cancel the appointment and schedule the new time with another SMS® Sitter available OR do nothing and keep the original requested time.

Members are required to cancel the appointment online if they no longer need the original time. Scheduling fees are non-refundable and cancel fees may apply. Members who choose to request the new time will be charged new SMS® Fees.
SMS® Policy requires all SMS® sitters to be paid in cash or check by the end of each sit. If the sitter does not receive the correct compensation by the end of the sit, SMS® will charge the card on file for the remaining balance owed + $5.00 credit/debit fee. Members agree to this in the SMS® Legal Terms.
All SMS® Sitters are owed the Full Amount confirmed online from the start time to the requested end time. If a member confirms an SMS® Sit from 6pm - 10pm, the sitter is owed the full amount confirmed online whether they are needed or not. Members who come home early or no longer need the SMS® Sitter 1hr prior or during the sit will still owe for the time confirmed online.

Members who cannot abide by these policies will be terminated immediately and fees will not be refunded.
SMS® can offer receipts for all membership and scheduling fees paid directly to SMS® only.
The SMS® Family Share allows up to two members the option to request one SMS® Sitter. SMS® Members only!! If your friends are not members, they will need to become members online in order to enjoy the SMS® services.
SMS® does not offer nanny services or placements of any kind. Household cleaning is prohibited. We offer casual babysitting for date nights, Mom breaks and our Fall, Spring and Summer Programs. We offer up to 25hrs/week per member account.
The SMS® Sitters are for the eyes of our SMS® Members only!! Become an SMS® Member and see what it’s all about for yourself!
We do not allow members to meet or call the SMS® Sitters before a sit. All SMS® Sitters are eligible to sit in all SMS® Member homes. SMS® Sitters arrive at each member's home upon a confirmed sit date. We’ve already completed an in person interview, know so much about them and have data on file to review at all times.

All members can use the "Add Notes" feature. We do not allow members to contact or speak with the SMS® Sitter prior to an upcoming sit or outside of the confirmed sit time. SMS® does not allow nor expect the SMS® Sitter to coordinate or contact the member for details.

Members who need to speak with their sitter or have contact prior to or outside of the paid sit hours confirmed online are NOT a good fit for the SMS® Model.
All members can use the "Add Notes" feature. We do not allow members to contact or speak with the SMS® Sitter prior to an upcoming sit or outside of the confirmed sit time. SMS® does not allow nor expect the SMS® Sitter to coordinate or contact the member for details.

Members who use the "Add Notes" feature to instruct the SMS® Sitter to call them outside of a sit time will be immediately terminated.

Members who need to speak with their sitter or have contact prior to or outside of the paid sit hours confirmed online are NOT a good fit for the SMS® Model.
Each SMS® Sitter is CPR certified, screened and interviewed in person!
Through the online scheduling process, we attempt to fill your dates with the fewest SMS® Sitters as we can, but we cannot guarantee the same sitter or consistency.
All SMS® Sitters have a valid driver's license, auto insurance and a clean driving record. They can transport children in their vehicle, but cannot drive member vehicles or be driven by members.
